Tony Robbins Quotes

My definition of success is to live your life in a way that causes you to feel a ton of pleasure and very little pain – and because of your lifestyle, have the people around you feel a lot more pleasure than they do pain.

There are no real successes without rejection. The more rejection you get, the better you are, the more you’ve learned, the closer you are to your outcome… If you can handle rejection, you’ll learn to get everything you want.

If you want to succeed in your life, remember this phrase: That past does not equal the future. Because you failed yesterday; or all day today; or a moment ago; or for the last six months; the last sixteen years; or the last fifty years of life, doesn’t mean anything… All that matters is: What are you going to do, right now?

The secret of success is learning how to use pain and pleasure instead of having pain and pleasure use you. If you do that, you’re in control of your life. If you don’t, life controls you.

Success is doing what you want to do, when you want, where you want, with whom you want, as much as you want.

How am I going to live today in order to create the tomorrow I’m committed to?

Take control of your consistent emotions and begin to consciously and deliberately reshape your daily experience of life.

I believe that life supports what supports more of life. In other words, motivation does matter. If you’re just trying to take care of yourself, you’re part of life and I believe life steps in and gives you a certain level of insight.

Change is never a matter of ability, it’s always a matter of motivation.

Beliefs have the power to create and the power to destroy. Human beings have the awesome ability to take any experience of their lives and create a meaning that disempowers them or one that can literally save their lives.

It is not what we get. But who we become, what we contribute… that gives meaning to our lives.

“If we’re going to build a business, we not only need raving fan clients, we need a raving fan culture. Culture meaning everybody on your team works to create raving fan experiences. You’ve got to create raving fans if you want to be successful.” – Tony Robbins

“The price of ignorance in business is obsolescence. Obsolescence in business in short order means extinction.” – Tony Robbins

The third element of success is your state: You must replace a default state of pessimism or anger with one of determination, of will, of generosity, of curiosity, of gratitude. The more we can put ourselves in such beautiful states rather than suffering states, the more they become habits of being and we end up making better decisions.

I believe the ultimate path to enlighten is the cultivation of gratitude. When you’re grateful, fear disappears. When you’re grateful lack disappears. You feel a sense that life is uniquely blessed, but at the same time, you feel like you’re a part of everything that exists and you know that you are not the source of it. In that state you show up differently for the people around you. Just walking around you vibrates.

It is in the realm of uncertainty, that your passion is found.

There is no greatness without passion to be great, whether it’s the aspiration of an athlete or an artist, a scientist, a parent, or a businessperson.

Most people know what to do, but they don’t do what they know – because they haven’t found their inner drive. Their passion.

I look at society and I look at people and I say… I’m not Mr. Motivator. I think you get a better sense – I believe in energy. I believe in passion. I believe in teaching people.

Don’t get roped into talking about something that you don’t really have passion for, and don’t get roped into something you don’t have expertise in. Why should somebody listen to you? If you’re going to take somebody’s time, you better deliver.

The best way to stay away from They is really simple. Stay with the people who have some passion. Stay with the people who know the truth. I like to find the They and turn them into We. I like to take the Thays and herd them. People that are sceptical, the Thays, I can bring them to We as much as I can.

I have dedicated my time here on earth to find the tools that can help each of us experience an extraordinary quality of life. I do believe that such a life can only be found by living one’s true passion. Without passion, an individual gets caught in the trap of making a living instead of designing a life. When we fall into the trap of getting up each day to re-enact an “ordinary” existence, we find ourselves at a level that is merely one of survival.

“One reason so few of us achieve what we truly want is that we never direct our focus; we never concentrate our power. Most people dabble their way through life, never deciding to master anything in particular.”

Life is found in the dance between your deepest desire and your greatest fear.

Change happens when the pain of staying the same is greater than the pain of change.

It is your decisions, and not your conditions, that determine your destiny.

In order to be happy, human beings must feel they are continuing to grow. Clearly, we must adopt the concept of continuous improvement as a daily principle.

“Leaders spend 5% of their time on the problem and 95% of their time on the solution. Get over it and crush it!”

“Changing an organization, a company, a country—or a world—begins with the simple step of changing yourself.”
